Basic Electronic Code Lock System | 555 Timer Project #18
A tutorial on how to make a very basic electronic code lock system using 555 timer IC and a few other electronics components. This circuit consists of DIP switch using which one can enter the code. The output can be turned ON only if the entered code is correct. Any deviation from the correct code will revoke access to controlling the output device.
Link to the project page and circuit diagram will be updated soon.
This tutorial is a part of 18 video series on Electronic Projects created using IC 555: ruclips.net/p/PLtnycejpkuLXLOv0d37J4JOXKtAnz_BBo

Has anyone tried to replicate this with Tinkercad circuits? I tried and it makes some noises but the noises is no way close to real thing (Tinkercad doesn't have a speaker, but it has a piezo) ... I want to know if I wired up something wrong or this circuit is too 'analog'/'real world' for Tinkercad to simulate.

I cannot figure out the potentiometer. Everything works great, disconnect resistor, add pot and both lights just stay on and dim when pot is turned. I've tried every variation, pot size matter or what? Thanks for the awesome tutorial though! This was fun. Edit: Finally!! It needed a 500k, other ones were technically flashing, just so fast due to lower pot value you couldn't tell.
